[AIW List] AIW in Prague and beyond

Dear colleagues, presenters, and friends of the AIW,

many greetings from snowbound Prague! Below please find several items of information and things for your consideration before you receive the final version of the Prague workshop program, including all the (minor) changes. 

In the last few days I have received an unexpected amount of messages from people intending to come as audience; I am very pleased at the level of interest in the Prague event, but at this speed the conference space will soon reach any workable limit - this affects less the parallel sessions, but I am concerned about the room for the plenary, which is going to be rather crowded. For this reason, can I please ask you all to fill out the simple registration form attached, regardless whether you are presenting a paper or not? I can only offer a very limited amount of audience space, so this is going to work on a first come first serve basis. 

I apologize to you all for troubling you with this, and for any inconvenience - I did not expect such mere-audience interest, and, alas, our conference space is not limitless. 

Also, if you are on the program and (heaven forbid) cannot come, for whichever reason, please do let me know, so that your place may be offered to others. 

Plase do confirm your participation at your earliest convenience - this will help very much. Thank you all for your understanding. 

And a little homework before you come to Prague: at the business meeting in Prague we will need to decide about the host for the future AIW(s). As some of you know, Zurich was one of the possible options, but, unfortunately, Zurich cannot host the AIW in 2011. There has been an expression of interest from Graz (thank you, Heidi!), but we would appreciate it if you considered your institutions possibilities of hosting some of the future workshops, so that we have a fruitful business meeting in Prague. We would all benefit from that.
