International Symposium

Haunted Nature

University of Würzburg, Würzburg/Germany

November 8-9, 2019

For our symposium on “Haunted Nature” to take place at the University of
Würzburg from November 8-9, 2019, we are looking for a few additional papers
/ work-in-progress relating to the intersection of gothic literature/culture
and ecology. Research on the relation between nature and settler
colonialism, land and Indigenous cosmologies, nature and Indigenous agency
and resistance is of particular interest, but any related questions are

Please send proposals (500 words maximus exclusive of references) plus a

be given by September 15, 2019. 

 

The symposium is organized by Sandy Alexandre (Literature Section,
Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and Sladja Blazan (American and
English Studies, University of Würzburg).
